Excavator Drawing step by step

Step 1. Draw the Excavator Cabin and Base

First, sketch the excavator cabin and the base containing the power machinery that allows the excavator to operate, as illustrated in the drawing.

Step 2. Add the Exhaust Pipe

Above the excavator body, draw a curved line and another line above to create the thickness of the exhaust system. This is an essential part of the excavator; it helps reduce noise and exhaust fumes from the engine’s fuel combustion.

Step 3. Draw the Windows

At the front of the cabin, draw the door and windows for the excavator as illustrated in the drawing.

Step 4. Draw the Crane and Bucket

This step requires more detail to create a crane with many joints and details for the crane and bucket to operate smoothly.

To draw the crane, draw a long rectangle with a slightly curved boomerang-shaped section. Just above the curve, draw a rounded triangle. On top of the crane, draw a long oval. Sketch all parts of the crane to create depth.

Draw the shape that forms the base of the crane – a long, thin oval with a bulge on one side. Sketch it to create depth.

To draw the bucket, draw a crescent shape and connect the two ends with a nearly straight line. On top of the bucket, draw two rounded triangles; sketch them to create depth. Add straight lines to create a triangle behind the base of the crane.

Add circles to the shaft joints, allowing the crane and boom to move up and down. Sketch each circle to create depth. Draw the two hydraulic cylinders using a long rectangle and a cylinder.

Draw the two hydraulic cylinders connecting the crane to the cabin body. Draw straight lines behind the cylinders to complete the base.

Step 5. Add the Tracks

First, sketch the shape of the tracks, then add the rollers and guide wheels similar to the illustration.

Step 6. Color the Excavator Drawing

First, color the windows light blue. Next, color the cabin, vents, tracks, bucket, and the bottom of the cabin black. Now, use shades of yellow for the body, boom, and base. Then, color the spaces between the tracks, wheels, and the frame around the windows light black, and the wheel rollers light gray.
