How to draw a sea lion

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Australian sea lions live in the waters off South Australia. They were once hunted for their soft and warm skin. To create a head, start by drawing an skewed ‘C’ shape for the head.

Step 2

Add a small circle for the eyes, a line for the mouth, nostrils at the end of the nose and small dots on the side of the head for the ears.

Step 3

Draw a line from the chin down to form the chest. Add another line from the back of the head and bend it around to make the back and rest of the body.

Step 4

One more flipper. Sea lions use their powerful flippers to swim gracefully in the water and help them glide while on land. They love swimming!

Step 5

Add a small line behind the front flip panel to create another flip panel.

Step 6

Draw a tumbler at the end for its tail. Sea lions don’t have legs, but their tails are strong and can act as a leg when they’re on land. Now you have finished drawing the sea lion and you can color the lion! Their matted coat is light grayish brown, also known as grey-brown.
