How To Draw A Money Bag

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Money bags are usually tied with a string or string, and I’ll start with that in the first step of this tutorial.

First, draw two rows of thin circles connecting each other for the two layers of rope. Then use some curves from the top of it for the top of the bag to be tied.

We can then draw another circle going down from the end of the rope for the upper left corner of the bag.

Finish this step by drawing the loop out of the left side using the same lines and shapes you drew for the lanyard around the bag. Then you’ll be ready for step 2!

Step 2 – Next, draw some more money bags

In the second step of drawing your money bag, we will add the top of the bag and tie it up.

First, extend a slightly bumpy line down from the right side of the rope and down to the top right side of the bag.

You can then add two ropes that come off one side, and also add some tassels to the end of these strands.

Finally, add some simple line details to the top of the bag and below the cord.

Step 3 – Draw the bottom left corner of the bag

We will be drawing the bottom left corner of the bag in this third step of the money bag tutorial.

To do this, just bring some circles down from the ones on the top left, and at the bottom there will be a sharp corner.

Finally, you can also start the base of the money bag by drawing a slightly straighter line. Finish with some simple line details, and then you’re ready for step 4!

Step 4 – Next, draw the right side of the base of the money bag

This step of your pocket drawing will be to finalize the outline so you can add some details to it in the next step.

The right part of the border will be very similar to the left part of the base, which means more rounded lines and pointed ends.

Then finish with some other small line details to make it look like the bag is made of canvas and you’re ready to go!

Step 5 – Complete your pocket drawing

No vintage money bag is complete without a big dollar sign on it, so let’s draw one in our how to draw money bag step by step!

The dollar sign is a symbol that can be surprisingly difficult to draw, so don’t be afraid to refer to the reference image carefully as you draw it.

The dollar sign will be drawn as a large shape formed from the outline for the symbol, and you can place it large and proud on the pocket.

Then you have completed all the details! You’ll color it soon, but first, you can add some of your own that you might like.

There are many interesting ideas that you can apply, and we will go over a few before moving on.

One idea would be to draw some bills flying out of a pocket, or you could draw a cartoon thief swinging in to get it!

These are just a few ideas, and this is the kind of picture that you can paint a lot of interesting situations around, so make sure to be creative and have fun doing it.

Step 6 – Finish your pocket drawing with some colors

This is the sixth and final step of your money bag painting process, and in this step you can have fun finishing it up with some awesome colors!

We kept the same slightly less color scheme in our example image, as we went with a beige palette for the bag and a lighter green for the dollar sign.

However, this is your drawing and how you will color your own version is up to you! You can use a similar palette except for lighter shades, or switch to different colors altogether.

Choosing your art medium and tools can also be a great way to experiment with color, so make sure to try out all of your favorite art tools for the color you want.

This is your chance to show off your creativity, so make sure you have fun with it and make those colors pop!
