Step 1
As always, we start off with the basic lines of our McLaren bodywork. This is a pretty curvaceous car, so the contours of the body must be created with curves that are both curved and smooth. Don’t try to make the lines too clear and dark, as in the future all paths from this step will be deleted.
Step 2
Now let’s add the most basic details to our sports car body. In the front section draw the contours of the headlights. On the side, draw the outline of the mirror, the wheel arch, and the wheel itself. Now our drawing is more like McClaren, right?
Step 3
We continue to add details to our bodywork. In the front part, outline the contours of the bumper and the details of the hood. Next, outline the outline of the door and the contours on the side surface. McLaren’s basic sketches are ready, now we will detail our drawing and give it a complete look with the help of clear and dark lines.
Step 4
We’ll start working on the final details from the front. Using clear and dark lines draw out the contours of the headlight, bonnet and bumper. Carefully draw all the details on the front of the car as shown in our example. All lines should be smooth and clear.
Step 5
Continue the lesson on how to draw a McLaren F1. Now go to the top of the car and draw out the roof and the contours of the windows. In the same step, let’s draw the mirrors of our car.
Step 6
Now draw a sizable spoiler on the back of our sports car. Next, draw the outlines of the unusually shaped door. Remove all the unnecessary lines and lines that we drew in the first three steps. The contours of the body should look smooth and clean, as in our example.
Step 7
Now is one of the hardest steps in the lesson on how to draw a McLaren F1. Draw the contour of the wheel, to be very smooth and round. Next, draw contours, which can be like in our example or any other form. Try to make the wheels look bulky.
Step 8
In the final step of almost all of our drawing lessons, we add shadows to make the drawing more realistic. With the help of a few brush strokes, we paint glare on the surface of the windows and the bodywork. Next, add a shadow using a dense cube.
The lesson is quite complex and long, but the results are worth it, as you can now draw a McLaren F1. It is, in fact, now that you have your own McLaren F1, a great sports car, but no problems with repair and car insurance. In fact, all sports cars are pretty much the same. They have a low roof, wide body, and larger wheels. So if you’ve learned how to draw this sports car (more precisely a supercar), then you should be able to draw other cars of this type.
