Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. Then draw a smaller oval superimposed on it. This will help you draw the dog’s head and muzzle.
Step 2
Use the curves to sketch in detail around the guides. Pay attention to the lines that make up the forehead, nose, and lower jaw.
Step 3
Continue sketching in the details of the face. Use overlapping curves to form soft round ears. Draw a small circle in an irregular circle to form the nose and nostrils. Use the curves to outline the almost triangular shape of the eyes, the eyebrows above and the mouth.
Step 4
Delete the paths from the top and the muzzle. Below the head, use a long curve to surround the irregular round shape of the body. Then draw two circles overlapping the bottom of the body.
Step 5
Start sketching in the fur outline of the body. Use a variety of curves to connect the neck and back. Use multiple short, curved paths to meet at jagged points to outline the neck, buttocks and abdomen. Use the circle as a guide, sketch on the leg.
Step 6
Use bristles, jagged lines to sketch on the forelegs and legs. Don’t forget the short lines on the front and hind legs are obscured.
Step 7
Draw long and short curves all over the dog’s body to give it a feathery texture.

Coloring for you
These dogs are usually yellow, with colors ranging from white and cream to brown and golden red.
