Foal Drawing Step by Step
Step 1
We’ll start with two shapes, one for the head and one for the body. Connect the two with such an antique guide.
Step 2
For the second step, you will start drawing the head, muzzle, and long ears. Once that is done, you can proceed to step three.
Step 3
Draw the horse’s neck and some of its body like that. Notice there is a fold of skin between the shoulders and the lower part of the neck.
Step 4
Now that the shape of the head, neck, and some parts of the body have been drawn, you can start sketching the facial features. This will include the eyes, nostrils, and then detail to the inner parts of the ear. Don’t forget the lashes.
Step 5
Next, let’s tackle the task of drawing the forelegs and hooves. The pony has long slender legs that seem to have no flesh on them.
Step 6
You are almost done. All you have to do now is draw the belly, then draw the thighs of the hind legs first. The hooves should be drawn pointed or narrow, but that’s your preference.
Step 7
For the final drawing step, all you have to do is draw a stiff mane and a short chubby tail. Add some details then you’re done. Erase the mistakes you may have made along the way.
Step 8
This is the finished artwork when you’re done. Now you can have fun coloring your new pony.
