Drought Scenery Drawing Step by Step
Step 1. Leafless Trees
First, draw slender, upright trees with leafless branches as shown in the illustration.
Step 2. Draw Rolling Grass
Next, draw thin, thorny rolling grass, a characteristic desert plant.
Step 3. Create the Horizon
Draw the horizon with a horizontal line. You can use a ruler.
Step 4. Draw the Cracks
Draw a long zigzag line to begin creating the dry, cracked desert landscape. Create large, jagged cracks in the foreground, and continue adding cracks, making them thinner and closer together as you draw further into the distance.
Step 5. Draw the Sun and Desert Mountains
Draw a circular outline of the sun in the sky.
Draw a long, wavy line above the horizon to create the distant desert mountains.
Step 6. Color the drought drawing
First, color the sky blue and the scorching sun white. Next, use brown for the trees and green for the rolling bushes. Now, color the distant desert mountains yellow. Then, use different shades of orange to color the cracked desert ground.
