Step 1: Start by drawing the roots. Draw a few small wavy lines in a bunch.
Step 2: Then draw the trunk. On either side of the roots, draw a long straight line using the side ledges instead of a normal line. Now draw an inward curved line at the top of your line. Do the same with the other side but make sure your curves don’t touch each other. Then, draw small bumps along the inside of your trunk for the details of the trunk.
Step 3: Finish by drawing the leaves. From the top of the stem, draw about nine diagonal lines. From each one of your diagonal lines, draw small diagonal lines on one side of your line. Repeat this on all your diagonal lines and now you have the leaves!

A date is an oval-shaped “stone”, which means that the outside is berry and soft, but the inside has a pit or hard seed. They grow to about 7 cm long and ripen red or yellow.
