Gold Eagle Drawing step by step
Step 1: Drawing the Eagle’s Beak
Begin drawing the golden eagle by drawing the beak. Imagine the beak as a large triangle with curved edges, all curving downwards and to the left. Then draw a straight line below to form the lower jaw of the mouth. Dot a small dot in the middle near the back of the upper beak to create the nostrils.
Step 2: Drawing the Head
Now draw the head! Draw the head using two curved lines, one starting from the top of the beak, the other at the bottom. Both should curve downwards, but the bottom line should curve to the left after a short curve to the right.
Step 3: Drawing the First Wing and Body
Now draw the left wing. Draw the wing using two straight lines, one starting from the neck and curving downwards and to the left. This line should end at a sharp point where it curves sharply upwards and to the right, then curves even more sharply to the right, before curving back to the left to meet the first straight line near the top.
Now draw the chest and body by drawing a large curve starting just below the right side of the neck, curving to the right, before curving to the left.
Step 4: Draw the golden eagle’s eye
At the back of the beak, draw a circle for the eye and a small dot inside for the pupil.
Step 5: Now for the right wing
It’s a simple curve starting from the right ‘shoulder’ going to the right, before curving down, then curving to the left.
Step 6: Draw the eagle’s legs
Now draw the legs. To do this, draw two straight lines on the right side of the body, starting slightly apart, going down. As you go down, they should be a little closer together, before meeting with a jagged line at the bottom, to represent the feather. Then, draw three pointed ends at the bottom of the leg to form the toes, with the curved ends to form the claws.
Use similar straight lines for the left leg. Two straight lines start far apart, filling most of the remaining space between the body and wings. They should start far apart, and then get a little closer together, ending at the bottom with a jagged line. Three barbs for the toes, and curved points to form the claws—that completes the legs!
Step 7: Draw the tail feathers and add details to the feathers and wing feathers
Now for the tail feathers. Each feather is a simple curve going down, curving around, and then going up. Just create a few curves side by side to form them.
Continue drawing simple lines to form the wing feathers and some streaky details all over the eagle’s body to form the plumage.
Step 8: Color
Finally, color your mighty eagle! Golden brown feathers, yellow legs with a yellow beak, and sharp blue eyes.
