Today we think drawing peacock easy for you. So we came up with four peacock drawing tutorials in this drawing lesson. Then there are pencil sketches of peacocks, simple peacock drawings, and beautiful peacock drawings. The peacocks look very brightly colored, but that’s because of the reflection.
Peacock Drawing Step By Step
We used the following art supplies in these tutorials:
- 2B, 3B pencils
- Sharpie
- Erasers and sharpener
- Color Pencils
- Color markers
- Paper or sketchbook
Step 1: Sketch the Bird
First sketch 3 shapes: a small circle for the head, a larger sphere for the body, and a long tail, then connect the head and body with the neck.
Step 2: Sketch the branch under the feet
Next sketch the branch where the peacock is perched as shown in the illustration.
Step 3: Finish the Head and Neck
Start shading the neck and head of the peacock. Then draw the head in the shape of a curved and pointed beak on it. Next, draw small, pointed vertical lines at the top of the head to represent the crest. Draw small oval eyes on the peacock’s tail and color them, leaving a little transparency.
Step 4: Draw the Wings and Body
Extend the right neck line to the right, then curve it strongly to the left. Extend that curve and make a curve at the end upwards to form the wing. Darken the details of the feathers.
Step 5: Draw the Tail
In this step, we will draw the peacock (tail feathers). Do this by drawing a straight line to the right, starting from the back of the body. Then bend and stretch to the left, then bend and stretch up. Next, draw a curve on the right side to draw the front part and connect it below the tail line. Finally, draw two small lines to represent the base of the legs. Note that the peacock’s tail is a special feature of this beautiful bird, they have a long, colorful and prominent tail.
Step 6: Draw the legs and branches under the legs
From the sketch of the tree branch, we draw a large flower to highlight the picture of this beautiful bird, then darken the details of the branch, add smaller branches and leaves, and finally the bird’s legs hanging on the branch. Check and complete the drawing by erasing the details, excess and highlighting the details of the peacock.
