Step 1
Start this first step by drawing out the shapes and instructions to frame the Spawn as you see here. Start by drawing a small circle for the head and then add guide lines on the face. You will then draw out the shape of the squared trunk and from there add guidelines for the body’s chi. On his right arm, you will draw circles to create the concept for the arm and then the shape of the left foot.
Step 2
In this step, you will begin to sketch the shapes of the torn Spawns cape. Once you’re done, you can draw the spiked collar around his face. Add the eye and then start adding the details of his right arm and hand. Once done, you will begin to shape the right leg.
Step 3
Now you will start adding detailing the crease layer and then the definition on his cape and collar. Once done, draw out the shape of his right leg and foot as well as his hand and starting line for his leash.
Step 4
You have made it to step four and now what you will do is continue to sketch the detailed definition on his cape to make it look more realistic and loose. Add marks around his eyes on his mask and then add the shape of his thigh wrap.
Step 5
This is your final drawing step and what you will do now is draw all the interconnected chains around his arms and legs. After doing that, you can add the wrap around his ankle and add spikes. Before you start erasing all the guides and shapes, you’ll be detailing a few more details about his thigh band. Now you can start cleaning up your sketch.
Step 6
