Step 1
Start by drawing the head guide, then draw more guides for the arms/legs. Sketch out the facial guidelines and then a long body guide.
Step 2
Next, use the head guide to outline the structure of Shenron’s head and face shape.
Step 3
Here you will draw at the bottom means so. Notice that the mouth is roaring.
Step 4
Use the face guides to draw the shapes of the eyes, then all the proportions of the face. This will add texture to Shenron’s face. We will also fill the mouth with small sharp teeth.
Step 5
Like a lot of Asian dragon styles, you’ll draw hair on each side of its face behind its jawline, then draw antlers or horns on top of its head.
Step 6
Shenron’s head and face have been drawn, so now we’ll deal with finishing off the body. Draw the neck and the snake as long as the body.
Step 7
Finish lining for the body on the inside. Adding scales on the dragon’s belly will flow straight to the head as you see here.
Step 8
Fill the gaps on the sides with muscular arms and clawed hands. Don’t forget to add details as needed.
Step 9
Finish drawing Shenron’s body, then draw the spikes on the back of the body sloping down. Erase your mistakes and principles as you will draw the scales.
Step 10
Like I said, draw all the scales on the body and then draw small spikes down the rest of the dragon’s back or Shenron’s back.
Step 11
That’s it, you’re all done. Now you can add some color to this dragon from Dragon Ball Z. Shenron is great to recreate, isn’t it?
