Step 1
One of this character’s striking visual features is her shaggy, large hair. This is what we are going to start with in the first step of our how to draw Hermione Granger tutorial.
First, we will draw the outline on her forehead. This fringe will be drawn using some curved lines with pointed ends.
The top of her head will be drawn with some connecting curves, and then we can draw the sides of her hairstyle.
For the sides, we’ll use some drop-down wavy lines to finish off with some little tips. This will help create more volume and texture.
With the drawn hairstyle, let’s continue with step 2!
Step 2 – Now draw the details on her face and scarf
The style we’ll be using for this Hermione Granger drawing will be cute and cartoonish, as you’ll see in our examples!
Now we will draw the details on her face. First, use some curves to contour her face.
Then draw some big circles for her eyes and then add some spikes extending from them for her eyelashes. Finish with some circles inside the eye contour for her pupils.
Then we’ll use some simple lines for her nose, mouth and eyebrows. Finish off by drawing the striped scarf around her neck, and then step 3!
Step 3 – Draw the robe she is wearing
In the Harry Potter series, students of the magical school Hogwarts will wear capes as part of their school uniform.
This is what we will draw in this step of the how to draw Hermione Granger tutorial.
Use some curved lines to draw her sleeves, and these will be thinner at the base while wider towards the end.
The front of the cape will be connected near the head by some straps, then it will split and separate.
Before moving on to step 4, you can also draw her skirt showing behind the split of her gown, and then we can continue.
Step 4 – Next, draw the broom handle and her legs
The broom is a popular accessory in the Harry Potter universe.
Instead of being used for cleaning, they were used to run around in the air and were even used in the popular game Quidditch.
We’ll show her holding one of these brooms in this part of your Hermione Granger drawing.
Now, we will draw the long and thin broom handle that she is clutching on the left side. We won’t be drawing the end of the broom handle right now, but we’ll be adding that shortly!
The last thing to add in this step will be her legs. In keeping with the style we’re after, these legs will be short and squat with small feet at the end.
Then you’ll be ready for some final details and elements in the next step of the tutorial!
Step 5 – Add Final Details to Your Hermione Granger Drawing
The fifth step of our Hermione Granger tutorial will help you add the bristled end of the broom you started with in the previous step.
The outline will be drawn with some slight curves, and then you can add similar curves to the interior.
The more of this you can add, the better, as it will help create the shape of each individual hair.
With the brush handle finished, you can move on to the final step! Before doing this, you can also add some extra details of your own!

Step 6 – Finish Your Hermione Granger Drawing in Color

This means her hair is a darker shade of brown, and then for her scarf we use alternating red and yellow because they are the colors of her school house. .
