Step 1
So, to draw a boot (as well as any other shoe), we first outline the contours of the shoe using light, barely visible lines. Note that we drew men’s boots but you can draw any type of shoe using this drawing tutorial.
Step 2
Let’s add some general details to our boot drawing. Now, at the bottom outline the soles of the boots. Outline the tongue and move on to the fourth step. Now our shoe sketch looks like what we might call boots.
Step 3
Let’s start working on the details. Use clear and dark lines to draw the base and toe box. Erase the guides from the bottom of the boot.
Step 4
Move a little higher and trace the top and tongue of the boots. Outline the seams like in our example. If you did everything correctly, then at this stage you should get such a sketch of the boots.
Step 5
The shoe drawing is almost ready. Here we just need to draw out the laces and eyelets of the boots. In addition, in the 5th stage, we will erase all unnecessary lines to get such a clean shoe drawing.
Step 6
We are in the last step of the lesson on how to draw boots. As we always say, we use simple contouring for the shadows. Hatching serves not only to obscure poorly lit areas, but also to emphasize the volume of the boot drawing.
