Step 1
Barbie was created taking into account almost all the features of the human body. So let’s draw the skeleton of an ordinary person. Outline the head in the form of an oval. A little lower depicts the spine, on which are the ribcage and pelvis. Recall that a woman’s pelvis is slightly wider than her shoulders, unlike a man’s pelvis.
Step 2
Draw two lines that intersect at the center of the face, where the bridge of the nose is located. Now draw the neck in the form of a cylinder. Next, outline the torso, which narrows at the waist. Outline the arms in the form of a cylinder and the shoulders in the form of a circle. Next, draw your legs hip-width apart and knee-length.
Step 3
Draw our Barbie’s hairline. Next, outline the eyes, lying on the vertical line from the previous step. A little lower we draw a small nose and full lips. At the end of the step draw the contours of the dress and shoes. So if your Barbie sketch looks like this, you’re doing everything right.
Step 4
Now let’s work with the details. Carefully draw the outline of the eye and pupil. We make the nose and lip lines clean and smooth. Remove all unnecessary instructions from our doll’s face.
Step 5
Now let’s take care of our Barbie’s hair. Make the contours of the hairstyle clear, like in our example. Then add long and light lines that will make the hair more realistic.
Step 6
Our guide to removing traces of Barbie’s torso. Draw a neat collar and add creases to the outfit. When drawing the torso, take into account the curves of the body under the clothing.
Step 7
We continue to draw Barbie. Follow the sleeve and add some folds. Make the lines of the arms clean and neat. And at the end of the step draw the hands. If you did everything right, at this step your Barbie drawing should look like this.
Step 8
Now let’s move on to Barbie’s lower body. Continuing the lines of the torso, trace the bottom of the dress. Add the necessary folds. Draw the legs as in our example and remove all guides from the Barbie drawing.
Step 9
In order for your Barbie drawing to have more volume, we need to add a drop shadow. They are painted using hatch windows and are located in places where light does not shine down. To darken the shadows, just add some blooms on top of the first one.
