Step 1
Start by drawing two curves. They form the top of the girls’ eyes in anime.
Step 2
Draw another curve below each line drawn in the first step. It will meet the first line at a point inside of each eye, open at the other end. Then stretch the short, curves outward from the end of each line. Connect the lines with a short, straight line, around the upper eye.
Step 3
Leave some space below each eye, then draw a curve. On one end of each line, out of the eye, draw a pair of short lines.
Step 4
Draw a thick, curved line above each eye. These lines represent the eyebrows.
Step 5
Use a long, curved line to surround an unusually circular shape between the upper and lower parts of the anime girl’s eyes. This will form the iris of the eye.
Step 6
Repeat this process on the other eye, enclosing an irregular circle using a long, curved line, to form the mirror image.
Step 7
In the iris of each eye, draw a small circle to form the pupil.
Step 8
Add detail to the irises of the eyes. Draw a curve connecting the pupil with the iris on each side. The resulting shape will resemble two mountains, with sun-like pupils rising between them.
Step 9
Draw a small oval next to each pupil to highlight the eye and paint the upper part of the eye.
Step 10
Color your anime girl’s eyes. Common human eye colors include brown, amber, green, light brown, gray, blue, and even purple. Of course, your anime character can show off any eye color you could dream of. Don’t forget to be creative!
