How to Draw Aladdin

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

To start Aladdin, the first thing we need to do is give him a small oval for his head and draw his ribcage square below.

Step 2

Draw a line on either side of the head that connects to the body to create Aladdin’s neck.

Step 3

Alternatively, draw in a long shape for Aladdin’s pants, as shown in red in the image on the left.

Step 4

Draw Aladdin’s arms bent toward his body at a right angle, meeting his hips.

Step 5

Since his fists will be on his hips, we don’t need to worry about drawing the fingers for this pose.

Step 6

Repeat the same process to bring up Aladdin’s other arm and draw only a small portion of the leg exposed from underneath the pants.

Step 7

We will draw Aladdin’s hair in two pieces. The first section of hair will be the largest and begins near the top of the head, near the middle, and extends down the neck.

Step 8

Make sure to keep Aladdin’s hair a bit messy by drawing a few loose clumps of hair near his face.

Step 9

Draw Aladdin’s second section of hair starting at the top of his head and extending to his neck – just like the first.

Step 10

Also, we need to draw a small half circle on top of Aladdin’s head to make his fez hat.

Step 11

Follow the lines shown in red to give Aladdin his vest. Draw Aladdin’s vest rather short – just touching his hips.

Step 12

Draw a curve down around Aladdin’s waist to form his belt and add a small patch and a few lines in his pants to smooth out the crease.

Step 13

Aladdin’s eyes are very simple ovals with large pupils that take up about two thirds of the eye’s space.

Step 14

Give him a small open mouth, with a horizontal line to suggest that you’re grinding your teeth.

Step 15

Draw two thick eyebrows and a curved line starting at the edge of Aladdin’s left eye and ending in the middle of the face for his nose.

Step 16

At this point, Aladdin is nearing completion. All that’s left to do is add a few lines in the middle of his body for muscle hints and color if you like.
