Step 1

First you will draw the trunk. Draw a line going up and down and make it curve to the bottom. Leave some space and do the same thing on the other side but this time make it bend in the middle in the middle and then bend it out on the bottom. Draw transparent paths between the trunk to make it look like a tree trunk.

Step 2

Next, draw the roots of the tree. They are different from most plants because of the thick roots and you can see them from the ground. Draw a wavy line that tilts down, off the bottom of your trunk. Do the same thing to the other side. You can do a curved branch to really show roots. Now draw a wavy line along the bottom connecting the roots together.

Step 3

Now it’s time to draw the outline of the leaf. Draw two curves for the edges of the tree and connect them to another curve along the top. Now, draw long thorns on the bottom to close the tree. The thorns are long leaves hanging from the tree.

Step 4

To finish, go around the tree and add leaves. Draw a triangle pointing downwards but don Patrick draws the top line, connecting the top triangle instead with two small bumps. Repeat this step until you have as many leaves as you want.
