You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

First, sketch an oval and circle, as the Drawingforall.net artists did in the example below. Use the lightest lines, do not push the pencil too hard.

Step 2

Use a pair of curves connecting the circle and the oval. These two lines should be very smooth and similar to a belt. Use straight lines to outline the hand. At this stage, your violin drawing may resemble a guitar.

Step 3

Draw the rest of the check, the tail, the coil pegs, and the tuning on the violin’s fingerboard. Try to repeat all the details like in the example below, drawn by the artists of HTDraw.com.

Step 4

Now draw the straight strings as in our example and the fine tunes. If you can, draw the wires without using a ruler. The main thing to remember is that the strings should be roughly equally spaced.

Step 5

Erase all the unnecessary guides we drew in the previous steps and draw two f-holes on the body of the violin. By the way, to make your violin drawing a little more realistic, you can add some shadows.

At the end of our lesson on how to draw a violin, we want to give you a few tips, according to tradition. If you doubt that your drawing is smooth and proportionate, just bring it to the mirror and you will see all the scale flaws. When drawing strings, be sure to consider the height at which different parts of the string are riveted so the violin drawing doesn’t appear flat.
