Step 1
Start by creating three shapes, one for the head and two for the body. After these shapes are drawn in, you need to connect them all with lines. There should be a total of two, neck and tail.
Step 2
All you have to do here is outline the top of the muzzle and upper jaw. The lining for the mouth should also be drawn inward. Make the mouth wavy and then add mountains for the nose.
Step 3
Start drawing out the lower jawline and notice how the cheeks are defined, and there is a bit of hair on the chin. Shape the eyes, and then move along.
Step 4
As you can see, the difficulty level will be slightly increased. You must carefully outline the rest of the mouth and this should include the stretchy tissue at the corners of the mouth. Sketch the teeth and tongue, then draw the horns. Add some details to the eyes and move on to the next step.
Step 5
Start outlining the skin-based tissue for the vertical frills between the head and the sides of the jaw.
Step 6
Continue sketching the dragon but draw the shoulders for the wings first, then draw the top lining and thumbs for the wings. Then you will draw out the front legs and some right feet. Add some wrinkles or folds in the dimpled area on the arm. Finally, add details to the frill.
Step 7
Complete the wing outline like so, and then draw the top as it folds over the top of the wing. Outline the back, end, and some tails. Now draw in the hind legs or thighs, as well as some feet. Outline the belly, and both forelegs and claws.
Step 8
Finish drawing the hind legs and the ribs on the wings. Also, add lines to separate the toes from the claws or fingernails. The finishing touches draw the tail, and you’re almost done.
Step 9
Let’s complete the drawing of the real dragon by adding those belly scales and then drawing the end of the tail. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one and you’re done.
Step 10
