You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

The first step in drawing our bearded dragon is to draw two large ovals, these ovals overlap. The top oval will be for the bearded dragon’s head and the bottom oval will be for the body.

Step 2

Next, draw a few wavy lines connecting the two ovals to form the wrinkled neck of the bearded dragon. Also, draw a small eye near the top of the head and a very small circle for the nostrils of the bearded dragon.

Step 3

Draw a thin line starting at the front of the bearded dragon’s face, continuing to extend about half the length of its head for its mouth. After the mouth, draw a circle for the bearded dragon’s ears.

Step 4

Next, we’ll need to draw the bearded dragon’s stocky front legs and a small oval in the back for the hind legs. At the end of each dragon’s leg, draw five sharp claws.

Step 5

Draw a long tail behind your bearded dragon. Feel free to make its tail quite long.

Step 6

At this point, most of the dragon’s beard is complete. All we need to do now is give him some scales for a little texture. Also, draw more spikes around the bottom of the bearded dragon’s head to form the “beard” from which the dragon gets its name!

Step 7

Color your bearded dragon a bit. Beards are naturally sandy, but with selective breeding due to their popularity as pets, they actually come in a variety of colors like red, yellow, and even burgundy!
