Step 1
Start with such a face or head guide, then outline the face guides.
Step 2
Use paths to outline her face. As you can see, it will be done at an angle which means starting at the forehead, then partially sunken down for her eyes, then draw the cheek bump, chin and jawline.
Step 3
Start filling in Betty Boop’s hairy spots. Small curls should style her face like that, and should also be parted. Once that task is completed, you can draw large hoop earrings.
Step 4
Now you can complete her head shape by drawing the rest of her hair. Draw another hoop in and you’re done.
Step 5
Now that her face is done and her hair is done, we’ll start editing her eyebrows and nose. Again, her face is a side profile.
Step 6
Draw on her amazingly expressive big eyes and this definitely has to include the lashes. Draw her puffy lips and add details to her eyes.
Step 7
Now for Betty Boop’s body pose. Draw her left arm raised and behind her head. You will need to draw in her shoulders and some neck shapes.
Step 8
Finally, draw the right side of Betty Boop’s body with her hand on her neck and paint her some nice nails like she does in her cartoon style template. Add strokes to her neck, then erase the errors and guides.
Step 9
That’s it, you’re ready to color in this realistic version of Betty Boop. Give her the traditional Betty Boop color.
