Step 1
Draw your basic outline. (On a new layer, not on the background layer. You’ll need transparent lines later.)
Fixed line weight.
Step 2
Fix the details on the hair. (Remember that there is no right or wrong with hair. Hair is its own, so do whatever you like and feel right. Just remember that hair comes together in strands.) If volume and shape are not ok, please fix it. Make it beautiful and grand if that’s the look you’re trying to achieve.
Step 3
Start with shading. I used the pencil sketch feature here (using the brush tool in PS). This method can be used to create a sense of texture on fabrics. Note: Decide on the direction of the light source before starting the shadow, or you will confuse yourself.
Step 4
Add highlights to your hair if you have chosen a dark color for your hair. Conversely, if you choose a light color for your hair, add shadow the way you did with the outfit.
Add shiney effect to hair. (I create a new layer, draw a white curve, fade it and reduce the opacity accordingly.)
Step 5
Add the pattern details of the beautiful braided hairstyle.
Step 6
I decided the dress was too slippery in the back. And since the character’s name means “flower”, I thought a floral ribbon would work well. I drew it separately on some white space, then put it on her dress and modified it to the angle we looked at.
Step 7
Remember to not only shade the bow, but also shade it on the outfit. Add some texture to the dress.
Fix anything that looks weird. If it looks weird to you, it will look weird to someone else.
Step 8
Complete the entire drawing of a girl with a cup of milk tea in her hand.
