Step 1
In the first step we need to draw the character’s skeleton, we call it “stickman”. Then we sketched the neck line and the spine. Don’t forget that its length is equal to the height of its three heads. On the straight line of the spine, outline a broad ribcage and a narrow pelvis. Note that the width of the chest is equal to the width of the ends. With the help of simple outlines, outline the arms and legs. Therefore, we can see that a muscular man’s body is about eight heads tall.
Step 2
In this step, we need to show the volume of each part of the body. We recommend drawing from the top down. Drawing in this direction will be really easy because Spawn here is standing upright.
Let’s draw symmetrical lines on the face first, this will help us draw the lines on the face. Connect the chest and pelvis – the waist should be narrow enough. Draw shoulders, elbows, and knees using circles. Draw hands and legs using the modified cylinders. In the same step give the arms and legs more true form.
Step 3
In this step we will add some basic details to the drawing. Let’s start with the head, outlining the eyes, nose and mouth with light lines. Next, outline the contours of the mask and the high collar. Outline of the long gown and the contours of the costume details.
Step 4
We will continue to work on the basic details, now we will draw the letter “M” on Spawn’s body.
Step 5
It will be a very easy step. We draw the eyes on the mask and erase the excess guides from the second step.
Step 6
At this point, we have completed the first part. So we go to the body. We outline the muscular lines of the neck. Delete the lines of the “spine” and circle the trunk lines (if you haven’t done the last steps).
Draw the chest muscles and outline the lines of the abdominal muscles. Also, draw the string and crayon between the collarbone as you can see in our example.
Step 7
It’s time to draw our character’s arms. Draw the lines of muscles – delta muscles, biceps, triceps. You can read phase 2 of this article to see where the arm parts are located. Then draw the parts of the glove that are mounted on the arm. Draw the fingers and knuckles, as in our example. Use vertical lines to draw patterns on the arms and hands. Don’t forget to delete the rules after these actions. It will make the drawing cleaner.
Step 8
In this step we draw Spawn’s legs. Erase the guide lines from the legs and draw some creases in the knee area. Don’t forget to draw muscle lines in the thighs and shin. Use a few curves to draw the lines of the shoe. By the way, don’t forget the creases on the boots in the ankle area.
Step 9
So we have the final step and we delete the rule. Also, we circle the lines to make them smooth and clean, as you can see in the example. Add some creases to the left part of the cloak.
