You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by sketching a part of the track. Draw three sets of parallel, curved lines. Each set of lines should meet at a gentle point. Connect them using curves to form a tongue-like shape.
Step 2
Draw the next part of the roller coaster track. From each initial set of lines, expand another pair of parallel, curves. Allows all three sets to meet at one point. Then, from the set of lines above, draw three more sets of parallel, curves. Bring each set to a point such that it bends to meet the set below it. Delete as needed where the lines overlap.
Step 3
From the previous set of lines, draw three more sets of parallel, curves. Curve them so that they meet at one point.
Step 4
Draw pairs of parallel lines between the sections of the track so that they form a “V” shape.
Step 5
Support your roller coaster with upright legs. For each leg, extend a pair of parallel lines down from the track. Draw a horizontal line below the legs and connect them with curves.
Step 6
Draw a car on top of a roller coaster track. Use the curves to outline the vehicle, front and side of the vehicle, and the seating area.
Step 7
Delete the road that coincides with the car. Then, use the curves to outline the safety bar, decorate the car with ornaments, and outline the wheels between the car and the track.
Step 8
Erase as needed where the car overlaps the rails. After that, sketch two happy kids riding a roller coaster. Use curves to outline outstretched legs, torso, and arms. Use narrow “U”-shaped lines to wrap your fingers and wrap your arms with curves to create sleeves. Sketch the face, hair, eyes, nose and mouth. Use short curves to give the hair texture.
Step 9
Draw two ovals on top of the car. Then, draw a slightly smaller oval inside each shape. Finally, draw curves around the car to indicate movement.
Step 10
Color your animated roller coaster.
