How to draw Loki step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start off by outlining the details on Loki’s face. Draw curves for the eyes. Then draw some smaller circles in a row. The shade between the two smallest indicates the pupil. Use curves to draw eyebrows, nose, and mouth.

Step 2

Use curves to draw the sharp contours of the mask around the face. Then draw the curved rectangular edges of the helmet covering the cheeks. Draw a vertical line through each line to give it a three-dimensional shape. Then stretch the lines upwards to outline the sides of the helmet.

Step 3

Above the face, expand the two sets of curves to meet at a point. Connect them at the bottom. These are the horns of the helmet. Use the curves to outline the contour and details of the helmet, noting the triangular protrusions on the forehead. Delete as needed.

Step 4

Use curves to start sketching Loki’s outfit. Use long and curved lines to outline the basic shape of the plumage. Then detail the shoulder and collar with additional curves.

Step 5

Draw the pairs of curves near the bottom of the plumage. Then clothing details are seen in the jacket. Draw a “V” shaped line to form the neck, and draw pairs of lines across the body, some horizontal lines, and some other diagonal lines. Detail these with additional lines.

Step 6

Draw Loki’s arm, erasing as needed. Use the curves to outline the armpipe first, then the upper arm, lower arm, and fist.

Step 7

Draw the other arm. Again, start with sleeves, and then use pairs of lines for the arms. Note the short line showing the indentation of the elbow. Use overlapping narrow curves and ovals to outline the hand and fingers.

Step 8

Draw “V” lines between the sides of the shirt to indicate the bottom of the dress. Draw pairs of curves to form the legs and connect them at the bottom. Use a line roughly like a “U” shape to surround each shoe.

Step 9

Use curves to outline the rectangle of Loki’s cloak. Extend parallel lines above and below his grip, and connect them at both ends, forming the staff. Decorate the staff with circles at the top and curved triangles along its edges. Color your Loki cartoon.
