VW Bug Car Drawing step by step
Step 1. Draw the Roof
Start by drawing a curved line to form the hood of the Volkswagen Beetle. Next, sketch out the windshield and windows.
Fit the thin side mirrors into the corners of the windows. Make sure to erase the overlapping lines.
Step 2. Shape the Hood and Front Bumper
Create the curved shape of the VW Bug hood. Then, draw a thin, curved hood pin at the base of the hood.
Then, attach the rectangular front bumper.
Step 3. Install the Lights
Install the large oval headlights. Then, sketch out the thin turn signals above the fenders.
Step 4. Draw the Side Steps and Fenders
Draw the curved shape of the front fenders and add tall, curved rear fenders with taillights. Draw thin, rectangular side steps to make getting in and out of the car easier.
Step 5. Shape the Wheels
Create cylindrical tires below the fenders. Next, draw smaller circles to outline the wheels and hubcaps. Add some details like the effect on the car windows.
Step 6. Coloring the VW Bug Drawing
First, color the windshield and windows in light blue. Next, paint the headlights in teal. Now, color the turn signals and taillights in orange. Then, color the side mirrors, headlights, hood latches, front fenders, side steps, and wheels. Finally, color the tires in black.
