How to Draw a DeLorean with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. This drawing lesson is about creating a DeLorean, the famous car from the 1980s. In about ten minutes, you will learn the basics of this car so you can outline and add details that make this classic car stand out.

DeLorean car drawing step by step
Step 1. Sketch the roof
First, create the curved outline of the DeLorean’s roof.
Step 2. Draw the windows, windshield, and side mirrors
Draw the outline of the windows and windshield following the shape of the roof.
Add the small side mirrors below the corners of the windows. Don’t forget to erase the overlapping lines.
Step 3. Shape the front of the car
Shape the front of the car similar to the illustration. Then, add the thin strip of the front bumper attached to the base.
Step 4. Add the lights, logo
Start by drawing a long rectangular outline. Add a pair of rectangular headlights and draw a thin outline of the logo between the two headlights. Then, shape the rectangular fog lights below the headlights as shown.
Step 5. Draw the wheels, body, and some details
Draw two cylindrical tires. Next, add smaller circles to each tire to outline the wheels and hubcaps. Next, create a long horizontal line in the middle of the two tires. Create the short rear of the DeLorean.
Sketch the side contours on the body of the DeLorean by drawing two horizontal lines. You can use a ruler to do this!
Step 6. Color the DeLorean drawing
First, color the windows and windshield in a light blue tone. Next, use a light gray for the front bumper, wheels, headlights, and logo. Now, color the fog lights orange. Then, color the front of the car as well as the side mirrors, side contour, and rear window corners in a dark gray. Use black to shade the tires. Finally, paint the car a light brown.
