Step 1. Draw the ship’s hull
Start by sketching the shape of the hull. Then, draw horizontal lines on the hull.
Step 2. Add window holes
Draw four circles to add the Mayflower windows.
Step 3. Shape the mast and crane
First, draw thin horizontal rectangles to add the barriers. On the top and bottom booms, attach small vertical rectangles to draw the mast.
Step 4. Sketch the sail
Draw curved vertical lines in the middle of the booms to outline the sails.
Step 5. Flag
Draw a V-shaped flag at the top of the mast.
Step 6. Complete the May flower drawing
Let’s add some color to our May flower drawing! Use a red pencil to color the flag. Next, shade the masts, cranes and the outer part of the window with a black pencil. Fill in the inside of the window panes with a blue pencil. Now, shade the sail with a white pencil. Then, color the hull with a brown pencil.
