Step 1. Draw the outline of the car’s carapace
First, draw the oval outline of the hawksbill turtle’s upper shell, called the carapace.
Step 2. Shape the lower part of the shell
Create the bottom part of the carapace by drawing a series of small ovals as shown.
Step 3. Add flippers
Add the shape of the turtle’s flippers attached to the bottom of its shell.
Step 4. Draw the head
Now, create the elongated outline of the head. Next, draw a circle for the eyes and a small dot for the nose. Then add a wavy line to form the mouth.
Step 5. Create Scutes
Make the shape of the scales on the surface of its carapace similar to the illustration.
Step 6. Complete the hawksbill turtle drawing
Now, let’s complete the drawing of the hawksbill turtle by adding a little color! First, fill in the eyes with a black pencil and add some shadow with a white pencil. Next, use a brown pencil to color the shell. Add some light brown color to the bottom part of the shell. Now add some brown spots on its head and flippers. Then, color in the rest of the turtle with a light blue pencil.
