Kid Trunks from Dragon Ball Z Drawing Step by Step

Step 1

Let’s start with some pretty basic instructions and shapes. Start with the shape for the head and then add guidelines across the face. You will then need to draw the torso, then draw the outlines of his legs, boots and arms.

Step 2

Before sketching his hairstyle, first draw Trunks’ face shape. Once you’ve completed the sharp facial structure, you can start sketching out his short, straight hairstyle. Be sure to add some texture to the ends of his hair to show that he does in fact have hair like his mother Bulma.

Step 3

Now you can outline the eyebrows, eyes and details inside the ears. Once that’s done, add more definition to his bangs, then draw the shape of his neck. The last thing we want to do with Trunks is start sketching the top part of his Gi. As you can see the front has a “V” shape and part of his muscular chest is exposed. Draw his shoulders and add some loose details to his clothes.

Step 4

Finish sketching Trunks’ arms and make sure to add the appropriate amount of detail to give texture to his muscles. Draw the wristband, then draw the belt or belt tied in a knot around the waist. Add some details with folds or pleats right where the belt clips into the material.

Step 5

You’re almost done with this lesson and to get even closer, let’s sketch the rest of his Gi, which is the pants. Once that’s done, you have to add folds and pleats like you see here to make his clothes look baggy from the waist down.

Step 6

All you have to do now is draw out the golden boots he almost always wears, and then once you’ve done this, you can add details to them as they appear throughout the series. Erase all the guides and shapes you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

Step 7
