Step 1:
The first step would be to draw the center of the flower by drawing a circle and then small dashes around it.
Step 2:
Next, draw large petals that are creating semi-circles around the center.
Step 3:
In this step, draw the smaller flower by first drawing the stem down from the large flower and adding the second slightly curved left side. At the top of the curved stem, draw a small petal and then a half-moon shape to create a young flower.
Step 4:
Next, draw two long leaves on the left side of the stem with slightly serrated edges.
Step 5:
Finally, draw the third leaf to the right, which should also be a slightly serrated elongated shape around the edges.
Interesting facts about poppies
The poppy is a common wildflower that can be found all over the world. They grow on hairy stems up to about 60 cm tall. Flowers on poppies are 5 to 10 centimeters across and round. Poppies look like red, white or pink bowls on the stem. In the center of the flower is a dark purple sphere with dark purple spots all around. Poppies grow from April to August.
