Step 1
We decided to draw a creature with wings and two tails instead of legs. So we’re sketching a simple human skeleton (we’ve drawn almost all of our human lessons), but instead of legs, let’s draw strong curves that will later become two tail.
Step 2
Now, using simple geometric shapes, outline the shape of the torso and arms. Next, we sketch two thick and long tails and two large wings on the back. A very unusual creature, isn’t it?
Step 3
Carefully line your eyes and frown. Next, draw a pointed nose and half a mouth with sharp fangs. Draw the shape of cheekbones, wrinkles and remove unnecessary guide lines from the face.
Step 4
In this step, we have finished drawing the head of our mythical creature. Gently pull out the hair. Next, draw a large beard, like in our example. Don’t forget to remove all unnecessary guidelines from your head.
Step 5
Now we will move a little lower and start drawing the details on the body of the mythical creature. Draw the pectoral muscles, outline of the torso and abdomen.
Step 6
Now let’s work with the arms. According to the tradition of all creatures from myths, fantasy and legends, we should have large and strong arm muscles. So let’s draw the outline of the muscles and the big palm like in our example.
Step 7
Now let’s deal with the lower part of the character’s body. Here we will draw two tails, they are on the position of the legs. To do this, use long, smooth and curved lines.
Step 8
This step will complete drawing the character’s body, but will not complete the mythical creature lesson. Here we will draw the character’s wings. To draw feather lines like in our example, use long and bright lines.
Step 9
Now we will draw the shadow. They are drawn in a rather realistic style. For such shading, use the dense contouring mode. Or you can draw shadows and contrasts like in our drawing tutorials for comics.
