Step 1
Start this first step by drawing a circle for the shape of Eminem’s head. Then draw a large face guide grid as shown. Next, draw the outline of his hoodie like a long hair. Now the final part is drawing out the shoulders even though they are very small.
Step 2
In the next step you will outline his medium sized eyebrows and then the shape of his right eye, a small almond shape. Next, start outlining his long face shape and semi-squared jaw. You can then use the guides to give you an idea of where to place his nose tip so you can start sketching. Now you are ready to continue sketching more detailed lines for the shape and fluidity of the hoodie.
Step 3
Next in this step you will outline the shape of his left eye and both of his pupils. Now, lightly outline the bridge of his nose for more detail and along the left side of his nostril. Move down a bit and draw a squiggly line for his chin, then outline on the bottom lip looking full and then the dimple between the upper lip. Once you’re done sketching the details of his face, move along his hoodie and start sketching in more detail. This will make his hoodie look like a hoodie. His right neck detail has two lines.
Step 4
Now this is where the fun begins and the game begins. First, you’ll begin to lightly outline the hairs visible from under his hood. You can then shade in Eminem’s pupil and leave a little white left over to give it a glossy look. Now shade and detail his lower lip and outline some small details on the far right side of his face i.e. his ears. Finally outline the shirt hemline and detail the shirt a bit with some creases.
Step 5
Now what you will do here is shade in certain areas of Eminem. Start by giving light shade around his face and inside his hoodie. The deeper and darker the hoodie, the darker the shade. Now apply light shadows around his eyes as shown, then his neck and shirt. Then the last thing you need to do is shade the outside of his hoodie sweater.
Step 6
This is what your finished sketch will look like when you’re done. Of course you have to erase all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one. I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw Eminem step by step.
