Step 1
There are three different body positions that you will draw today. You can choose to draw all three or you can choose one of them. Start with three circles for your manga body that you’ll draw and add face guides. Next, draw the torso shapes for all the poses you see here. Once you’re done, you’ll draw a line connecting your torso to your hips or pelvis that you’ll draw next. Finally draw all the limb guides as well as the shapes for the hands and feet.
Step 2
Start sketching out the shapes of the manga models as you see here, then sketch the eyes and bangs for their hairstyle.
Step 3
You will pretty much complete the hairstyles of your manga body models, then draw eyeballs and pupils for each of the characters you see here. Sketch both the ears and mouth on the model.
Step 4
You will now start sketching the torso shape of your manga body starting with the shoulders and arms. Once done, you can draw the shape of the breasts as you see here and add some necklines by outlining their collarbone lines.
Step 5
You are almost done with this lesson and so far I think you are doing great. Continue sketching the body by drawing the shape of the waist and hips of the torso in the manga. Once done, draw more shapes for the arms and add some strokes to the belly by adding a navel.
Step 6
Complete the arms and hands, then start sketching the thighs and/or upper body of the manga. As you can see from the drawing here, these women have long slender legs.
Step 7
Now for your final drawing step you will finish drawing the legs and then draw the feet including the toes and all. Erase all visible guides that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing so it looks nice and neat.
Step 8
When you’re done, you’ll have three manga girls ready and willing for you to dress them up and use them in your next manga comic. I hope you had fun and I hope you learned something new with this tutorial that showed you “how to draw manga body step by step”.
