You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

The first step of our gallery drawing tutorial will start with you painting the ceiling. You can start by drawing a long and thin rectangle for the bottom of the ceiling.

For this and some of the next steps, you may want to have a ruler to help you when drawing different parts of the library.

Then draw two small lines going down from either side of the roof. Then, draw a thin border on top of the rectangle you just drew.

Finally, draw a triangle above the rim on the rectangle for the slope of the roof. You can draw a smaller triangle inside that shape and then you’ll be ready for the next step.

Step 2 – Now draw the next part of the gallery

Now that you have the roof of your gallery drawing, you can start drawing the next part in this section.

Using your ruler, draw a long line below the roof, then have some diagonal lines going down from it.

Then connect these diagonals with another diagonal line below them. The reference image will show you what this part will look like.

Next, we’ll draw some columns below the roof you just drew.

These columns will have a different number of parts, and some will be more square while others will be slightly more rounded.

Once you have drawn these columns as they appear in our figure, you can then move on to the third step of the tutorial.

Step 3 – Draw the base and front steps leading to the library

This third step of our tutorial on how to draw a library will help you add a base as well as some steps leading to the entrance of the library.

This base will have a top row of five thin sections next to each other. Then there will be four square sections at the bottom of this base section.

The exception to this will be in the center, as there will be some longer rectangular shapes for the steps leading to the library.

Step 4 – Next, draw the first windows for the library

Now that the outline of your gallery drawing is complete, we can start adding some details to the picture.

This first step will see you add some windows and we’ll start with the smaller windows at the top of the gallery.

They can be drawn as several small squares with smaller squares inside of them.

We will then draw a more stylish window below each of these square windows. These windows will have vertical edges with a rounded top to contour them.

Then, draw a short rectangle at the inner bottom of the contours, and then end them with two long, vertical shapes above them.

All that remains will be to add the final details and elements in the next step!

Step 5 – Add the final details to your gallery drawing

The fifth step in our gallery drawing tutorial will help you add the final elements to complete it. In this section, we will mainly focus on drawing the door for the library.

This door will be a slightly larger version of the design you drew for the windows.

It will have the same long and rounded shape for the top half of the door with a shorter rectangle at the bottom, exactly like the windows did.

After this door is painted, you can also add some details of your own!

This can be anything from people walking in and out of the library to some bushes or other background details to make the animation more dynamic.

These are just a few ideas, but what else can you think of to complete your drawing of this amazing gallery?

Step 6 – Complete your gallery drawing in color

To complete this gallery, we would be happy to add some color to your artwork.

In our reference image, we’ve used some more muted colors with a bit of brightness to give the gallery a more appealing look.

Although the colors are more muted, we managed to use some brighter blues for the windows to create some contrast.

These are the colors we’ve chosen, but this is all about creating your own perfect library! For that reason, you are free to use any art medium and color you want for it.
