Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below
You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
To start Ursula, we first need to draw three ovals. Two large ovals and one small oval above. These ovals will serve as location markers for Ursula’s head and torso.
Step 2
Next, draw Ursula’s lower jaw and small ears.
Step 3
Now it’s time to give Ursula some hair. Draw some wavy curls from the top of her head. Make sure to keep Ursula’s hair wavy to look like she’s underwater.
Step 4
Next, draw Ursula’s back hair and her shell cone earrings.
Step 5
At this point, you can clear the principles in Ursula’s mind and get rid of those. We’ll also need to outline her eyelids and two large arched eyebrows.
Step 6
Next, draw small slits for Ursula’s eye holes and give her some long lashes. Also, draw a long, thin nose between her eyes.
Step 7
Draw Ursula’s upper lip and a smile line running from the corner of her mouth up to her nose.
Step 8
Draw a large curved bottom lip and a small curved line for her chin. Also, draw a line in Ursula’s mouth for teeth and a small freckle near her lower lip.
Step 9
We will draw Ursula in her famous “Cross-legged” pose or – her famous “tentacles”. So we will draw one large tentacle facing right and the other two tentacles above facing left.
Step 10
Next, we need to draw Ursula’s thick arms with elbows towards her waist and wrists up towards her head.
Step 11
At the end of each of her arms, draw Ursula’s tiny hands and skinny fingers.
Step 12
Next, draw Ursula’s chest area as some sort of ribbon running between her arms.
Step 13
Finally, give Ursula her amazing shell necklace!
Step 14
Finally, we need to give Ursula some color. She’s basically all purple, except that the upper part of her body is more gray. And she’s done! I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw Ursula from The Little Mermaid. I certainly had fun doing it. Stop by for more tutorials and keep drawing!
