Step 1
Let’s start this lesson on how to draw Luxray by drawing out some of the basic instructions and shapes you’ll need to draw this Pokemon correctly. Start with a circle for the head and then add guides on the face. You will then draw four pointed lines for Luxray’s mane and then draw a hint of a neckline. Attach the neck to another circle for the body of this species, and then draw two more shapes that differ in size and shape. Finally draw the chi lines as well as the guide for the tail.
Step 2
Now you will start sketching the shape of Luxray’s face and oversized ears. Next, draw a line for the chest and front legs as you see here. Once this is done, you can move on to the next drawing step.
Step 3
This is where this lesson gets interesting. Sketch the shape and style of the thick spikes as you see here and then add some strokes to the ears. You will also draw the face in more detail as well as draw the shape of an eye and color the pupil. Draw the feathers on the side of Luxray’s body as you see here. Looks like he/she is doing janitorial work. Once done, move on to the next exciting step.
Step 4
You will now focus on pulling out the back end of Luxray’s body. Start by outlining the shape of your hips, thighs, and hind legs, then outline the frill you see on your butt. Draw the shape and thickness of the tail and remember to draw a star at the tip of the tail. Once done, you can go ahead and start erasing all the principles and shapes that you drew in step one.
Step 5
