You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Of course the first step is always to draw out the guides and shapes to form the frame for the Hook. Start with a small circle for the head and then add guides on the face. You will then plot out the position of his body as shown to you here, including the lining for his arms and sword.
Step 2
What you’ll start doing now is sketch out the shape of some of Hook’s body parts starting with the oversized fur hats. Next, draw the outline of his long wavy hair, face and then the lining for his coat. Then you will draw the glove sleeves and leg contours.
Step 3
Once you’ve completed this step, you’ll start to notice that the Hook is popping up nicely. Finalize the shape of the hat and feather, then the rest of the lining for his face shape. You will then add the eye and mouth definition, as well as a dash for his mustache. You’ll pull out the rest of your coat and then your sword guard. Pull your legs out more and move on to the next step.
Step 4
This is your final drawing step and all you have to do is draw the rest of his open mouth and then his hair. Detail his jacket by drawing straps and ruffled tie, then draw his hook, right sleeve and blade. Finish this step by drawing his shapes and erase the guides and shapes you drew in step one.
Step 5
That’s it, you’re done. All you have to do is color him and you’ve got a complete drawing of Captain Hook. I hope you had a lot of fun with this lesson, and yes, I know his foot position is a bit off, that’s something I had to fix. Else that you did a great job!
