Step 1. Create sea line
The image we will create in this sunrise tutorial will depict a peaceful and beautiful view of the ocean.
There will be some details and other elements that we will draw throughout this tutorial, but for now we will focus on the sea.
This is going to be a pretty simple drawing element, since all we’re going to do is draw a horizontal line.
Step 2. Draw the island
On the line just drawn two islands by drawing two large triangles but it’s not too perfect.
Step 3. Sketch the coconut tree trunk and boat
Next, on the island, sketch some coconut tree trunks with vertical curves, sketch a small boat with a picture of a fisherman sitting on it.
Step 4. Highlight the sketch
Use a pen and ink to darken the sketch you just drew so that the details you just drew are clearer, add leaves to the coconut tree.
Step 5. Shape the sun and sky
Use a medium-sized round object like a bottle cap to make a frame for the sun shape, then use yellow to paint around the sun shape, followed by orange. Note that the center of the sun is white due to its strong light output.
Step 6. Add sky color
Next, use a red pen to highlight the sky outside.
Step 7. Color the island
Use a dark brown color for the two islands, the side facing the sun is lighter brown because it reflects more light.
Step 8. Color the sea
In the position of the shadow of the sun, use yellow to paint the corresponding shadow of the sun on the sea surface.
Step 9. Continue coloring the sea water
Next, continue to paint orange and red colors, respectively, reflecting the colors of the sun on the sea surface, creating a poetic scene.
Step 10. Color the boat.
