Step 1
Ever see a clock with a bird that comes out of it? Maybe on the Cuckoo Clock! The funny sound of these birds comes from the beak, so let’s start with that. Draw two sharp triangles for the mine.
Step 2
Now, for the head, draw a curved bump on the head with a small line behind it. Also, add another curve along the bottom for your neck. Finally, draw an oval with another circle inside for the eye.
Step 3
Now start painting the wings. Make a long curve along the bottom and end it with two feather points. Then draw a couple of internal collisions for feather detail. The Cuckoos have a wingspan of up to 2 ft.!
Step 4
For tail feathers, stretch two rows at an angle and end with a square head. Cuckoos can be longer than 1 foot.
Step 5
For the belly, draw a small curve under the wings. Add a squiggly shape below for more details.
Step 6
Now, draw the chest pattern by adding a few lines under the wings. Finally, add a few small points to the foot. To color your cuckoo, use blue and green for the wings. Chest and abdomen are white.
