You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start off by drawing a circle. This will help you sketch the head of the cartoon corgi.

Step 2

Start sketching the dog’s face. Start with the muzzle. Use the curves to outline the nose, upper jaw, and mouth. Use short lines to add a bit of fur texture where the snout connects to the rest of the face.

Step 3

Sketch the ears, cheeks, and neck. Use curves to create rounded triangular ears and overlapping curves for a hairy neck. Internal ear detail with overlapping curves.

Step 4

Erase the guides of the original circle, leaving a clear outline of the face.

Step 5

Complete the details of the face. Use thick curves to outline the eyes. Then, draw a series of consecutive smaller ovals in each eye. Shade between the two smallest to form the pupils. Paste curled, pointed shapes above each eye to represent the eyebrows. Then use a series of curves to draw a stripe between the eyes that extends to the nose.

Step 6

Draw the fur on the chest of the cartoon corgi using a series of short, curved lines that overlap and meet in points. The chest should have an inverted triangle shape.

Step 7

Start drawing the body of the cartoon corgi. Use one curve to outline the back and a few curves to outline the forefoot. Note the pointed bristles at the ankles. Then, use overlapping curves to cover your toes and toenails. Draw the second leg and the leg protrude from the back of the first leg, and use a curve to initiate the contour of the belly.

Step 8

Use curves to outline the belly, hips, and buttocks. Note the tufts here and there are made up of lines that meet at one point. Use a series of parallel curves to outline the bristles. Then, cover the toes and feet with overlapping curves.

Step 9

Draw the small tail of the corgi. Use a curve for the upper part of the tail and a series of short lines that meet at jagged points for the hairy bottom of the tail.

Step 10

Color your Welsh corgi. They are usually red, brown, or black and may have white markings.
