How to Draw a Space Marine Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Our Space Marine has a very large and powerful arsenal and we will try to describe it. Outline the contours of the head and a line of the spine. On this line, we outline a broad ribcage and pelvis. With the help of simple lines we outline the arms and legs. The lines on the first steps should be very gentle so that we can delete them later.

Step 2

Now we’re going to add some meat to the body to get the volumetric shape instead of the stikmen. First, outline the two intersecting lines above the head. Then outline the neck and wide torso of our warrior. Using simple geographic figures, outline the arms and legs. Recall that the body must be very wide and strong.

Step 3

In this drawing tutorial we have an armored charater from helmet to boots, and in this step we will draw the contours of this armor. Starting from scratch, we will outline a helmet with little horizontal eyes. Then go to the corpus, outline the armor using the usual light lines. On hand, we sketch the gun as you can see in our example.

Step 4

We’ve always liked Space Marine helmets. This helmet is a bit like a Scorpion mask from Mortal Kombat – we mean the mouth cover. So we just draw such part of the mask in the mouth area and we also draw a skull symbol located on the forehead.

Step 5

In this step we will draw armor on the body. We draw a smooth contour projected on the lower margin of the chest. Don’t forget about the winged skull – it’s on this chest line. Then we delete all the excess lines from the previous steps to make our drawing cleaner and tidy.

Step 6

Now let’s draw the details of the arm. We don’t need to draw joints and muscles but we’ll draw the contours of the shoulder pads, giant spikes and armor that protect the shoulders, forearms, and palms. And, of course, we had to draw Space Marine’s palm and gun details in detail.

Step 7

We can move on to the lower part of the body. In the same way as in the previous step, we draw large armored legs and boots. Note that the lines are not very smooth. Don’t forget to draw the skull mark on the waist. All components should be large and round. Our Space Marine’s legs should resemble those of a stereotypical robot.

Step 8

This drawing tutorial is almost done, and we just need to add some shadows. As in other lessons, the first thing we do is identify the light source. Furthermore, taking this into account, paint lights of different intensities in areas with the least amount of light. In the final part of the action you will get the following Space Marine:

Today we learn to draw Space Marine and this lesson is over. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Stay tuned and stay tuned for new tutorials. Goodbye!
