You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1:

Let’s start drawing your dahlia. The petals of the dahlia are blunt, round, or in a spiral pattern. In the first step, we draw a circle with the help of a compass. The circle helps us to shape the flower head. The flower head is large and round. So in the first step we draw a circle. Then we will start drawing the petals on top of the flower. The flower has a disc around the petals arranged in a spiral.

Step 2:

In the second step, we will sketch the petals. The petals of the dahlia flower are round and straight in shape; they are sorted. There is a central disc in the flower. Sketch a round black disc centered with flowers. Then outline rounded petals with blunt ends on top of the flower as shown in the reference image.

Then draw the stem of the flower. The trunk is an important structure. The stem provides all the minerals needed for the plant to survive. It can even survive in areas of heavy snow. The stem of the dahlia flower grows straight. So draw the stem of the dahlia flower for a complete look.

Step 3:

Dahlia flowers have small, toothed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves from the base of the flower stem. The leaves are green and contain a midline vein inside. The medial veins in the leaf help maintain health as it delivers food to different parts of the leaf. We will draw 3 to 5 leaves on the left side of the dahlia stem. Leaves are small, serrated.

Step 4:

In the fourth step, we will draw a few more leaves on the right side of the dahlia plant. The leaves for dahlias look quite beautiful. Leaves are green. Dahlias come in almost any color, except blue.

Step 5:

It’s time to color our dahlia drawing. Give the drawing a natural look by coloring red, orange, lavender, pink, yellow or white for the flowers and green for the leaves. I hope that children will find this drawing engaging and engaging.
