Desert Scene Drawing step by step
Step 1. Sketch the Desert Terrain
First, draw a wavy horizontal line to create the desert sand terrain in the foreground. Then add some wavy lines for the characteristic sand dunes and sandbanks of the desert.
Step 2. Add Rocky Hills
Sketch the tall, jagged rocky hills in the distance. Draw short lines following the shape of the rocky hills to create the rock formation as illustrated in the drawing.
Step 3. Add Sand Dunes and Rocky Hills
Next, draw more sand dunes and rocky hills in the distance.
Step 4. Draw the Cactus
Next, draw a cactus with many branches and segments, the leaves being tiny sharp spines.
Step 5. Add Cactus Plants
As you know, only cacti can survive and thrive in the desert, so we continue to add more cacti.
Step 6. Darken the picture
Next, use ink to darken the main lines of the desert landscape painting, erasing any incorrect or unnecessary lines.
Step 7. Color
First, color the sky light blue. Next, use a bold, sharp orange to color the rocks and sand of the desert. Now, shade the hills and color the background terrain light brown. Finally, color the cacti green.
