Step 1. Sketch the cardboard core
Start by outlining the cardboard core of the tape using an oval shape.
Step 2. Add texture to the cardboard
Next, draw a curved line across the core and add three diagonal lines to give the cardboard a texture.
Step 3. Create the shape of the tape
Draw two larger ovals to represent the shape of the tape.
Step 4. Draw the beginning of the tape
Pull a section of tape off the roll and draw a zigzag line to indicate the edge of the tape.
Step 5. Shape the underside of the tape
Then, draw a line to complete the underside of the tape.
Step 6. Complete the tape drawing
Now it’s time to make your tape colorful! Use brown and orange to color the cardboard core. Then, use yellow to fill in the tape.
