You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

As you can see, you’ll start with drawing the outline shape of the top of the T-Rex’s head like so, then draw the lower jaw that’s wide open because the dinosaur is roaring.

Step 2

Using the instructions you just made in step one, start sketching the actual structure of the T-Rex head and the required section. Add fine lines along the upper part of the jaw and some on the lower jaw.

Step 3

Here you will start drawing razor sharp teeth and then draw the conical tongue. Add nostrils, then outline the liner to create defined eyes.

Step 4

Now you will draw a small eyeball and then outline the folds and folds around the eye. Once done, add details to one side of the face, then outline the rest of the pointed teeth. Oh that’s right, add some skin texture to the mouth too.

Step 5

Now that the face is complete, you can sketch the shape of the dinosaur’s neck. You will need to take time when outlining all the surface details, which will give your T-Rex a realistic look. Once everything is done, move on to step six.

Step 6

And finally, repeat exactly what you did in step one face to face. There are more flakes than anything so make sure to outline in the texture definition as you see it drawn for you here. Erase your mistakes before you start adding details.

Step 7

Here’s how your drawing will look when you’re done. Now you can go ahead and color the top of the T-Rex you just created.
