You can refer to the simple step by step drawing guide below

Step 1. Draw the Basic Rectangle:

Start by drawing a rectangle to represent the flag. Use your ruler to ensure straight lines. The flag’s proportions are typically 2:3 (height to width).

Step 2. Divide the Rectangle:

Draw a vertical line through the center of the rectangle, splitting it into two equal halves.

Step 3. Color the Upper Left Portion:

The upper left portion of the flag (from the viewer’s perspective) should be colored red. Use your red marker or crayon to fill in this section neatly.

Step 4. Color the Upper Right Portion:

The upper right portion of the flag should be blue. Use your blue marker or crayon to fill in this section.

Step 5. Draw the Taegeuk Symbol:

In the center of the flag, within the blue portion, draw the Taegeuk symbol. This symbol consists of a red and blue circle intertwined with each other. Start by drawing a red circle in the center, then draw a smaller blue circle inside it. The two circles should intersect and create four distinct sections.

Step 6. Color the Taegeuk Symbol:

Color the inner circle blue and the outer circle red. Leave the areas where the circles overlap white. This creates the distinctive red, blue, and white Taegeuk symbol.

Step 7. Add the Trigrams (Optional):

At each corner of the Taegeuk symbol, you can optionally draw black trigrams. These are three solid lines, broken lines, or a combination of both, representing heaven, earth, fire, and water. Each corner corresponds to one of these elements.

Step 8. Final Touches:

Once you’ve completed drawing and coloring the flag, review your work and make any necessary touch-ups. Ensure that the lines are clean and the colors are vibrant.
