Step 1
Try sketching out the body of this nice animal. First, draw an uneven oval with slight curves on the bottom. Then draw the contours of the legs using the short lines connecting the crayfish body in the form of a obtuse angle.
Step 2
Let’s describe the contours of the tail and claws of our crayfish. You can see four pairs of legs and a pair of large, round claws. The claws should lie slightly tilted towards the head.
Step 3
The approximate sample of our drawing lessons does not change. This template works just as well in articles about how to depict an actual person, a comic book character, or animal. We are talking about the regular pattern, where we first depict the approximate silhouette of the character and then we draw the final details.
We now have a tutorial on how to draw a crayfish and this diagram will be a great tool. So in this step we outline the shell segments, round eyes, and the inner lines of the powerful claw.
Step 4
Now we are going to do exactly what we said in the last step. We have an approximate silhouette of a crayfish and now we describe the final details.
Draw contours of the segments on the back. In the final part of this step we will draw the tail. You can see that the tail consists of two side triangles and a circle in the center.
Step 5
In this step we will work with the final outlines of the leg. Pay attention to the smooth curves of each segment. At the end of this step we will draw the final contours of the claws. Don’t forget to draw jagged contours of the claw like in our template.
Step 6
In the sixth step we will work with the shadow to make our crayfish painting more realistic. You can choose any shadow localization. In our case, the shadow is on the lower part of the claw and the body of the crayfish.
