Step 1: Create the base of the body
Use a pencil to draw a slightly slanted oval to the left in the center of your paper. That will be your base for the macaw’s body.
Step 2: Sketch the first part
Then draw a thumb-like shape on the left that will be the bird’s head and neck.
Step 3: Draw eyes and beak
Draw the front eye in the center of the head. Now draw the beak on the left side.
Step 4: Add wings and tail
Next, detail the wings on the right side of the body. Add the macaw’s long tail below it.
Step 4: Draw the feet
To complete the line drawing, add the paws below its body.
Step 5: Finish your drawing
The macaw’s shade is a combination of yellow and green, with a hint of pink on the beak and black stripes. Don’t be afraid to be creative.
